It is possible to end healthy animal euthanasia with an aggressive spay/neuter assistance program.

Join the movement.

Knox County shelter intake increased 35% from 2001 to 2004. The ONLY way to stop the increase is with a targeted spay/neuter assistance program achieving at least 5 surgeries per 1000 of human population.

Knox County population: approx. 400,000 @ 5 per 1000 human population: 2000 surgeries

Therefore the SpayKnox goal is to subsidize 2006 spay/neuter surgeries for low-income Knox County residents during the 2006 calendar year.

SpayKnox Mission Statement

To end healthy animal euthanasia in Knox and its surrounding nine counties through the implementation of a high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter assistance program for low-income citizens.
